The 2006 National Meet will bring the club to the Chicago area and the wonderful Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. Angelo Valenti and Jeff Meister will be hosting this years event and hope for a great turnout as we have many activities planned. The host hotel will be the Holiday Inn Joliet Convention Center, 411 South Larkin Ave, Joliet, IL. The hotel is finishing up a complete remodeling and has 225 + rooms, indoor/outdoor pool, several banquet rooms, bar and restaurant. Rooms are reserved for us at a special rate of $79 a night plus tax and reservations can be made by calling (815) 729-2000, be sure to mention you are with the Hurst/Olds Club to get the special rate. For anyone trailering their H/O, the hotel parking lot is spacious and should afford us no problems. There are several restaurants nearby, including a Bob Evans and Steak N Shake and several stores including a Walmart, Cub Foods and White Hen, all also across the street from the hotel.
